LGBTQ+ Nottingham

As we head into Pride month and whilst I’m furloughed from work, I’m keen to take my camera out around the city of Nottingham to capture some of the brilliant LGBTQ+ Notts folk.

Since arriving in Nottingham I’ve been constantly surprised at how welcoming the city is. Maybe its a Midlands thing, or maybe Nottingham just brings its extra niceness to newbies, whatever it is I’ve felt safe and welcomed as a gay man. Whilst the recent announcement of the closure of the city’s gay club Propaganda has stuck a chord in the community, there are still venues that provide safe spaces across the city for the LGBTQ+ community.

I’m keen to photograph across three weeks the wonderful LGBTQ+ community that I find myself within and to capture their stories. From a socially distanced two meters, I’m keen to meet LGBTQ+ individuals to shine a light on the community. I’ll bring my camera, you bring your story and favourite spaces in Notts.

If you’d like to take part fill out this form and let’s arrange a time.

Just to clarify; I’m not charging for this, its an opportunity for me to develop my photography and you’ll get the photos. Win, win.
